Pour Score Terms of Use

The Agreement

By creating an account or using Pour Score, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.

Pour Score is run by Ryan Hennessy, an individual based in Massachusetts (“Pour Score,” “we,” or “us”). These terms take effect on October 17, 2026. You must be 13 or older to use Pour Score. How we handle your information is covered in the Pour Score Privacy Policy.

Your Account

You sign in with your email and a one-time code, and you’re responsible for what happens on your account. Keep your email account secure, since anyone with access to it can sign in as you.

Pick a username that isn’t offensive and doesn’t pretend to be someone else or a business you don’t represent.
One person per account. Don’t create accounts to boost your own scores or pile on a shop.
You can delete your account anytime from your Profile tab. That permanently removes your reviews, photos, and other data.

Your Content

You own the ratings, reviews, photos, and links you post. By posting them, you give Pour Score permission to store and show them in the app, and to share them when promoting Pour Score (for example, featuring a top-rated drink). This permission ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies already shared.

When you post, you confirm that:

Your rating is based on a drink you actually had
You took the photos yourself or have the right to share them
Shop photos show the shop, not identifiable people who didn’t agree to be photographed
Video links point to a review you made or have permission to share

Community Rules

Keep it about the coffee. Pour Score has zero tolerance for abusive content and the people who post it. Don’t post:

Fake reviews, including reviews of your own shop, a competitor, or a drink you didn’t have
Harassment, hate, threats, or personal attacks on staff, owners, or other users
Sexual, violent, or otherwise objectionable photos
Other people’s private information
Spam, ads, or links unrelated to a coffee review
Anything illegal or that infringes someone else’s rights

You can report any review or photo, and you can block other users. We review reports as quickly as we can, and we may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules, with or without notice. A photo reported by several people may be hidden automatically while we review it.

Scores Are Opinions

Every score and review on Pour Score is someone’s personal opinion of one drink on one visit. Ryan’s Score is Ryan Hennessy’s own take, and Community Scores average the ratings of people using the app. Neither is a statement of fact about a business, and drinks can change from visit to visit.

If Pour Score or Ryan is ever paid, sponsored, or given free products by a shop, that review will say so clearly. Shops can’t pay to change or remove scores.

The Fine Print

Pour Score is provided “as is.” We work to keep shop details, hours, and locations accurate, but they come from public map data and may be out of date, so check before you go. Directions open in your maps app; follow road rules and your own judgment.

To the extent the law allows, Pour Score isn’t liable for indirect or incidental losses from using the app, or for content posted by other people. Nothing here limits rights you have under Massachusetts or federal consumer protection law.

We may update these terms. We’ll change the date at the top and, for important changes, let you know in the app; continuing to use Pour Score means you accept the update. These terms are governed by the laws of Massachusetts.
